Lack of posts + Elance follow up
Sorry about the lack of posts over the weekend, I got stuck into a new website project that I have been thinking about for a couple of weeks. It only took me about 12 hours to get it functional enough for release, so I'll be doing a case study on that in the next week to show how you can go from an idea to the fully working site in less than a day and a half using Drupal.
I also wanted to follow up on my Elance post last week where I has having trouble deciding who to assign a project to. As it turns out, Tim Ferris (author of the 4 Hour Work Week) posted an entry later that day about why minimising options when making decisions increases productivity and increases satisfaction after making the decision. With this in mind I prompty culled my list of prospective designers down to a handful (being ruthless with my price and quality guidelines) and then was able to select a designer fairly easily.
This is definately something to keep in mind when you face a lot of decisions (especially for purchases - maybe less so if your deciding whether to go to war or not).
