You've got 50 milliseconds, so make it count

This week I was searching for online backup solutions at work so I did a quick Google search for and clicked 3 or 4 of the AdWords ads that appeared. One of the sites that I came across had a landing page that looked like this:

What do you do that makes your clients question their decision?

During a mini vacation at the Gold Coast over the Easter weekend we went to what seemed like a nice Italian restaurant called La Porchetta. The first thing I noticed when we sat down was just how dirty the menus actually were. There was so much crap on them I could scrape it off. I was instantly turned off and I hadn't even ordered yet.

What things are you doing (or not doing in this case) that is making your clients regret their decision to buy from you? How can you turn this into a benefit / selling point over your competitors?

People will buy anything

I saw this video today that shows that even if you have a ridiculous product, there are people out there that will buy it.
